RESEARCH STATEMENT

  • We are guided by one, fundamental objective: To positively impact the development of Qatar.

    We do this primarily by connecting our faculty, students and alumni directly to the challenges facing Qatar’s rapid social, economic, environmental, and urban transformation.

    We have a long history of collaborating with local, national, and international organizations on successful research and design projects across each of our programs. Projects use students, alumni, and faculty skills in research-led art, design, and scholarly projects to ensure a tangible outcome.

  • Our five year strategic plan is based on three objectives:

    One, to seek extramural funding to support the ongoing scholarly, scientific, and creative research endeavors of our Qatar-based faculty;

    Two, to build collaborative partnerships between our university and the Qatar community comprising fellow academicians in all of Qatar’s higher education and research centers, government ministries, private sector corporations, and citizens from across the public and private sphere;

    Three, engage in problem sets that have the broadest public impact, especially targeting health behavior, environmental sustainability, and entrepreneurial empowerment.
