Alanood Al Thani, a Qatari fine artist, engages with emotions and expression through art. Leading an experimental approach to her practice, migrating between media, tools, and ideas; she emphasizes the simplicity of color and pattern-making. In her work, she wants to explore the mindset of a young child. Children are more imaginative and more creative because they are not faced with the worries of the adult world. They have a playful approach to whatever they are doing. She finds the usefulness of the unuseful, as she explores the discarded material and finds their potential. She engages the viewer with her work by sparking their curiosity to use their sense of touch.
