Behavioral Reasoning
Graphic Design
This project takes the form of a research study directed at observing the reasoning of behaviour from the point of view of culture and existence, as well as, investigating the basic elements of culture and existence – opening the door to understanding the logic of Qatari Bedouin individuals and their behavioural motives. Bedouins were chosen as the target demographic due to their natural instinctive approach to adapting to the minimal desert environment, while demonstrating the evolving transformation of this culture and producing the civilized nation we are known for today. Therefore, the goal of studying behaviour reasoning is to create a unique approach to a design system that fits with the experiences of the modern Qatari nation.
This visual journey of the bedouin relationship to nature and culture toward design introduces ontological design through multiple approaches. As demonstrated, examples of past Bedouin life and contemporary life are displayed to reflect manifestations of coexistence with the environment, design of experience and convergence of behaviours despite the contrast in times, reviving to the audience of this intangible heritage. Furthermore, audiences will have the opportunity to explore their ability to create unique compositions through interactive design, interesting simplified visual displays of behaviours, environment and designed man-made objects that clarify the existence of each element in a specific scenery.
These ideas gathered in an integrated picture, would present to us an experience that takes us to an area that will culminate in the demonstration of the theory perspective by targeting the designed experience and creating an atmosphere which directs the audience's five senses into a space of contemplation and awareness.
