ANIMANIA brings the anime community of Qatar together. Through designed experiences and safe spaces — both physical and digital — we can now connect through a new branded identity that promotes real opportunities for meaningful connections and self-expression.

ANIMANIA is a combination of the words 'anime' and 'mania', and together, they represent the feeling of obsession and enthusiasm that anime fans have. Anime refers to animated shows, movies and shorts originating from Japan, and it has cultivated millions of fans worldwide since its creation in 1940. One of these places that anime has touched the heart of is Qatar.

Our fanbase here might be small in comparison to others, but we are mighty, and we are obsessed. Our community is made up of people from every age group, ranging from casual watcher to super-fan. Some of us were even inspired to be creatives because of anime, or have had our lives enriched in some way because of it. The design challenge is that we are scattered across the country with little basis to unite. Events are rare, even though they are highly desired, and it is difficult to meet new people.

ANIMANIA aims to solve this.
